Financing readiness Β· Add-on

Good books open doors to financing.

Banks and microfinance institutions want to see that a business is real, organised and able to repay. Keep your books in MyBooks.Africa for 24 months, reconcile your bank statements, and you can show exactly that.

  • Your readiness score. See how close your books are to what lenders ask for, and what to fix: 24 months of bookings, bank statements for every month, reconciled bank lines.
  • Your lender pack. 24 months of figures, balance sheet, cash in and out, open invoices and existing loans, in one clear report.
  • Shared only by you. Send it to a partner bank or MFI, or to your own bank, with a private link you can withdraw at any time. You see when it is opened.

Just starting out? Build a 36-month business plan instead: what you will sell, where and at what cost, how much money you need to raise, when you break even and what each shop or location earns. Send investors a pack with your pitch and the numbers, then compare the plan with your real books once you trade. No company yet? Use the business planner for free, no card and no approval needed.

Strictly opt-in: nothing happens until an owner switches financing on, and nothing is shared until you send it. Our team still cannot see your books, and a shared pack is encrypted with a key that exists only in the link you send. If a partner lender finances you, the partner may pay us a referral fee. You never pay us for it.

Security and privacy

Your books are yours. Not ours.

We built MyBooks.Africa so that our own team cannot open your books. No admin screen shows them, we can never sign in as you, and the identity documents you give us are locked in a vault that not even our servers can open.

USD 150 for your first year pays for exactly this: the encryption and security that protect your company data. It is not a licence fee, and we never sell data to make up the difference.

Why bookkeeping mattersIdeas are cheap. Execution is what costs money.

Every business starts with a good idea. What decides whether it survives is what happens to the money: the stock you buy, the salaries you pay, the invoices still waiting to be paid. Without bookkeeping you only find out when the account is empty, and by then nobody can say where the capital went.

Know your numbers while there is still time to act on them.

  • Where the cash isBank, mobile money and cash box, balanced every day.
  • Who owes youEvery open invoice, how late it is, and in which currency.
  • What you actually earnRevenue, costs and profit for the month, the quarter, the year.
